Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 22, 2026
Call HTX (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a home services marketplace operated by Conflenti Media LLC and available at callhtx.com. We connect homeowners in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area with state-license-verified tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and related professionals).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Call HTX, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Homeowners (No Account Required)
Homeowners can search for and contact technicians on Call HTX without creating an account or logging in. When you use the platform as a homeowner, we may collect:
- Search queries — the service category, location, and filters you use to find a technician.
- Contact events — when you initiate a call or text to a technician through our platform (see the “Call and SMS Forwarding” section below for details).
- Device and usage data — browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, and referring URLs, collected automatically through standard web technologies.
Homeowner Accounts (Optional)
You may optionally create an account to leave reviews for technicians. If you do, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Account credentials (passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext)
- Reviews and ratings you submit
Technicians (Account Required)
Technicians who apply to join Call HTX provide the following information as part of their application and profile:
- Full name, business name, phone number, and email address
- Trade type and master license details
- Proof of insurance
- Service area and availability preferences
- Profile photo and business description
- Subscription and billing information (processed securely by our payment provider)
2. Call and SMS Forwarding (Twilio)
When a homeowner contacts a technician through Call HTX, the call or text message is forwarded using Twilio, a third-party communications platform. This is how we connect homeowners with technicians without requiring the homeowner to create an account.
What we log:
- Timestamp of the call or message
- Phone numbers of both parties (the homeowner and the technician)
- Call duration
- SMS character count
- Whether the call was answered or missed
What we do NOT collect:
- We do not record call audio
- We do not store the content of text messages
This metadata is used to provide technicians with lead analytics (for example, how many calls they received in a given period) and to monitor the health and reliability of our forwarding system.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Connect homeowners with available, qualified technicians in their area
- Facilitate calls and text messages between homeowners and technicians via Twilio
- Provide technicians with lead and performance analytics through their dashboard
- Process technician subscription payments
- Verify technician credentials, licenses, and insurance
- Improve search results, platform features, and overall user experience
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use of the platform
- Communicate with technicians about their account, billing, and platform updates
- Respond to support inquiries
4. Cookies and Analytics
Call HTX uses cookies and similar technologies for essential platform functionality, such as maintaining login sessions for technicians and optional homeowner accounts.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the platform, including which pages are visited, how searches are performed, scroll depth, and general click patterns. Clarity may collect anonymized data such as browser type, device type, screen size, and pages visited. Clarity does not collect personally identifiable information. You can learn more about Clarity's data practices at Microsoft's Clarity documentation.
When you first visit Call HTX, you will see a cookie consent banner. Non-essential analytics cookies (including Clarity) are only loaded if you click “Accept.” You can decline, and the site will function normally without them. You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With technicians — When a homeowner contacts a technician, that technician receives the homeowner's phone number (as part of the call or text) and aggregated lead analytics (such as call count, time of contact, and call duration). Technicians do not receive browsing data, search history, or any other personal information about homeowners.
- Service providers — We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Twilio (call and SMS forwarding), Supabase (database and authentication), Mapbox (maps), and our payment processor (subscription billing). These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their specific function and are bound by their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify affected users before their information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. This includes encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls on our database and infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:
- Technician profiles — retained for the duration of the technician's active subscription and for a reasonable period afterward to support billing records and potential reactivation.
- Homeowner accounts — retained until the account holder requests deletion.
- Call and SMS metadata — retained for analytics and platform improvement purposes. We periodically review and delete metadata that is no longer needed.
- Search and usage data — generally retained in aggregated or anonymized form for analytics.
If you would like to request deletion of your data, please contact us using the information provided below.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
